| At first glance, this skydancer doesn't seem like too much. Just a prissy looking girl, right? Probably afraid of spiders, is a picky eater, likes bossing people around. Well, you aren't wrong, but you definitely aren't right. Dawn has years of adventure to her name. Never knew her parents, did she. Actually, she hatched on a pirate ship. The blunderers had intended to steal her as an egg, and simply sell her for loot, but now that she was hatched, they couldn't just abandon her, right? After all, they could use a few more crew members. Dawn had been plundering and sailing the Sea of A Thousand Currents ever since she could remember, and she loved what she did. There was simply not a better way to live. However, her cocky attitude landed her and her crew in a brutal fight with a rival ship. All of her shipmates, slain, Dawn was taken prisoner by the enemy ship. It was there she met Comet, the thief, and Jadus, the mage. The two had accepted their fate as prisoners, but Dawn, being a feisty teenager, rebelled greatly. She was able to convince Comet and Jadus to help her ransack and take over the ship from the inside out. Not a single crew mate was spared. Dawn took it upon herself to become captain of said ship, which she renamed the S.S. Nightbreaker. From that day forward it was just the crew of three skydancers, sailing the sees, seeking out treasure and adventures. Though still cocky, Dawn didn't mess with other pirates anymore. Instead, she entertained herself by wandering the coasts they came to, and seducing male travelers, only to kill them and take their belongings. However, time began to wear down the trio, to Dawn's denial. Comet became overwhelmed and sickened with guilt because of the innocents she helped kill with her wit. Jadus attempted to cast a forbidden spell, causing him to lose his voice completely. Eventually, the group's travels led them to seemingly uncharted Arcane territory. There, they met a tiny, but happy, clan. They welcomed the weary trio into their den and naively gave them the option to stay. Dawn had devised a plan to kill the small clan and take all of their belongings, but Comet and Jadus refused to help her, and actually threatened to chase her out of the territory if it meant protecting their new clan. They insisted that it was time to settle down, and live their lives with meaning. Dawn was displeased with them, and acted hostile towards most of her new clanmates, but soon enough she warmed up to them all, and is now the head scavenger for the now larger clan. |
