A natural genius, Ochre has studied every science from microbiology to inter-planar physics. Recently, however, he’s turned his various laboratories to weapons manufacturing. While his largest and only publicly known lab was seized by Melira and is now run by Nikola, Ochre has several in various locations across the island, each with their own private, experimental teleport system linking them. In these labs, Ochre creates new weapons, enchantments, and various devices to aid the smaller University faction against Melira’s Trading Co.
Ochre is more than slightly bitter that Melira has seized his equipment, his best lab, destroyed several valuable experiments, imprisoned his father, and continuous to jeopardize the lives of his friends and family. This has led to Ochre throwing himself into his new work, taking even less time than before for his own needs such as sleep and food. Serra is often at wits end dealing with his refusal to take care of himself, especially as she is tasked to breaking with her own work. The little time Ochre spends outside of labs, he can most often be found with Asmodeus, Lyra, Darry, or Serra. Mostly Serra. She tries to balance his obsessive tendencies with various activities, such as karaoke. It’s a bit difficult, given the underground nature of the University, but Serra knows a couple people in the Trading Co. and made it happen. Ochre has no life mate. He had been seeing Feast before Melira started her conquest of clan Alys. However, Ochre saw it as a deep betrayal when Feast sided with Melira against clan Alys, and has vowed to take Feast down himself. Serra has occasionally tried to get Ochre to go out on dates with a few people. It never panned out. Ochre’s rather bitter.  |

A Strange Seminar Like every day, everywhere across Alys University, students were chattering. Unlike every day, they were all chattering about the same thing. Xerces, the mysterious headmaster, was giving a single session seminar class. What the session was about, no one could truthfully say. Not, of course, that that stopped the rumors from flying about how it would cover anything from time travel to how to create a soul. “So, how violent of a response will I get if I teach this seminar on the proper way to make a basilisk omelet?” Xerces asked, setting up his lecture hall. “Dad, they’ll riot and stampede onto this stage. That’s why you’re having me set up this barrier, isn’t it?” Ochre asked. “Yep!” “Well, I think it’s a terrible idea. Do it.” “I assume you want to get a recording?” “Of course! This will be absolutely hilarious.” “You know, I’ll have to teach a proper seminar next week, to make up for it. Any ideas?” “Teach them how to manifest an extra limb out of pure magic. But only teach them how to make something useless, like an extra wing” “Great idea. Now, it’s time to let the students in.
