Lunadream

Often found staring deep into an open fire, Lunadream is a capable seer, who dedicates her talents to the survival of Alys University. Before the rebellion, her talent was wild and uncontrolled, sending Lunadream into random trances where she saw whatever happened to show up. However, the fires of war have a way of shaping everything into a weapon and now Lunadream, her eyes filled with the fire she scries in, uses her talent to dig up information Xerces or other spies are unable to, to predict how the Trading Co. will act, and to find Trading Co. employees who need to disappear to somewhere safe before they run afoul of the Trading Co. compliance officers.
Lunadream’s positive and upbeat personality remains through these dark times. When others in the clan are struggling to find hope that things can ever go back to how they were, Lunadream is the one to cheer them up, telling them of the futures she’s seen of victory. She saves the best tales of possible futures for the war orphans, who she visits at least once a week. One would be hard pressed to find a dragon more dedicated to a peaceful resolution to the war than Lunadream. Not the sole seer in Alys University, Lunadream leads her own small cabal of seers. Lunadream is the only one publicly known, though. The others all prefer the anonymity of it, so their friends and family don’t pester them about what they see. Lunadream also teaches at Alys University, in some of the less damaged, better warded buildings the University operates from. She teaches mostly quantum mechanics and the metaphysics of prophecy. She also has a particularly niche class on the history of seers. Lunadream is the life mate of Thalia, the University’s top information agent. They see each other often, and they still somehow keep up their gossip network. Lunadream enjoys the normalcy it brings to her life, and how it reminds them of how they first got together.  |

Fireside Gossip Thalia wondered if Lunadream might have any interesting gossip. She loved to see her wife just to see her, but the gossip was always top notch. As she approached the fire, Lunadream didn’t look up from it, but she did acknowledge Thalia with a warmly muttered “Wife.” “Wife. See anything interesting in the fire?” Thalia asked, looking into the flames. Unlike Lunadream, she could never see anything special in it, even with help. “The usual. War, death, so on and so forth. Jaroth has a body pillow of Melira.” Lunadream said, still staring at the fire. “Seriously? A body pillow of Melira? That boy ain’t right.” “I wouldn’t tell you it if it wasn’t true.” “That doesn’t make it less weird, dear wife of mine.” “Isn’t that what makes it good gossip, excitable wife of mine.” “You make a fair point.” At this Lunadream looked up at Thalia. “You normally don’t agree so quickly.” “Well I just didn’t feel like keeping it up. Wanted to talk to you more.” Thalia met Lunadream’s eyes. “Hey wife, something’s wrong with your eyes.” “What do you mean?” “They look different. Almost like they’re made of fire.” “It’s a side effect of being so good at seeing things in the fire.” “I’m sure, wife.” “I saw directly into Melira’s closest companion’s bedroom.
