She's killed before for money. She's just a hired gun. Finn doesn't seem to care about her past, but he might be the only one. Her scales are poison and cause an unpleasant burning sensation wherever she makes contact with another living creature. Prolonged exposure to her will result in death after several hours. The victim is eaten alive as if by acid, but it's a slow death that can be prevented if given an antidote. Sunrise herself cannot make the antidote. Her arcane abilities can only cause death. A life mage must be the one to administer an antidote before it's too late. By that rule alone, she should always be near a life mage, like Cloudy. She is a mess of inner conflict, shifting from guilt for the things she's done on accident to confusion over the hits she's been paid for. It's unclear whether she feels remorse or pride in what she is at this point. Her first instinct is always to blame everyone but herself, and someday she'll need to answer for her crimes. Until that day, she'll keep up a steady stream of crocodile tears for her beloved Finn, who's always too trusting when it comes to his partners.
Lorewise, she and Finn are the parents of Rainforest.
