Biography
Soyuz was named for the ongoing rocket program conducted by Roskosmos (previously by the Soviet Union.) Originally intended to put Russian cosmonauts on the moon, the Soyuz program has adapted over time to fit more current space travel needs, including transport to space stations such as Salyut (USSR), Mir (USSR/Russia), and the ISS (everyone). After the end of the Apollo program, Soyuz 19 rendezvoused with a leftover spacecraft from the Apollo program. This mission, known as the Apollo-Soyuz mission, was the first in-orbit rendezvous between America and the USSR. This meeting paved the way for future cooperation spaceflight which defines the world of spacecraft today. Currently, astronauts from all over the world reach the ISS via Soyuz spacecraft. This is due to the fact that since the end of the Space Shuttle program, it is the only currently operating manned spacecraft program. The ISS also contains one Soyuz module at all times in case onboard crewmembers need to perform an emergency evacuation. |

The dragon Soyuz is fairly practically minded and serves to help manage the clan. She makes sure all the hatchlings are taken care of, as well as the adult dragons. Although she can practice magic, she prefers not to unless she needs to. She has a keen hatred for philosophers and higher mathematicians, believing they should devote their work to something with "real" results, like law or engineering. While the clan has moved to Lightning, Soyuz is an arcanaut at heart, as it's where she and many of her offspring were born. She strongly dislikes the Shifting Expanse, because from her perspective, it's a danger to her offspring and the rest of the clan. But although homesick, she's confident in her abilities to take care of her family and friends, if a little overconfident...
