"Shush! I can't think over your bickering!" ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Needs to be rewritten... Many who knew the previous leader understood the constant struggle of maintaining the balance between the her abilities. Dragons who had once seen the power the leader possessed fear what potential the young Arka now must harness. A destructive power that could rip the earth apart beneath the very claws of the hundred dragons who live and pass through the arcane clan. In an attempt to better control her newfound powers, Arka often visits the clan seer Ashera, begging to know what lies in her future. The Coatl just shakes her head, flicking out her tongue as she twirled her new gem between her claws. All of her predictions and sights cost a gem, though the more elaborate the explanation, the higher the price. "You, my sweet summer child, so bright in a dark world. If you wish to know so badly I will tell you. Though I fear you may not like what I have to say.." She closes her eyes as her brow twitches, the flashes of the future causing her to jump as she hears screams and shadows stretch between rock and dirt, breaking it apart in an apocalyptic scene. Ashera's eyes snap open as her pupils constrict back to their serpentine slits. "Your shine will only save you for so long unless you learn to control that which dwells inside you." She slipped her gem into a small pouch beneath the table she sat pleasantly at. With a wave of her ringed claws she pointed to the exit, easily dismissing the mortified girl leaning over the table in suspense. Though it wasn't until the flaps of her tent billowed closed, did he wipe the bead of sweat from her forehead. Placing her trembling hands together she uttered a quiet prayer. "May the gods save us..." Her sweet disposition and unfortunate story had also attracted a young nocturne, raised in a dark and crooked clan in the Tangle Wood. Azuro had met Arka by chance at the Lux Est Memoriam when he first arrived at the busy clan. He had hight hopes of dazzling dragons out of their treasure purses with his cheap tricks. She was amazed by his abilities to predict her card, make objects disappear than reappear, though of course it was all misdirection and sleight of paw trickery that a young imperial like her hadn't seen before. Her dazzling innocence and wonder intrigued Azuro, as well as not knowing much about interstellar or its internal layout. The hustler flashed a sharp and blinding smile as he walked alongside the larger dragon, laughing at her poor jokes and remarks about her newly settled clan. Despite her teasing, he could hear the love in her voice for her home, something he hadn't experienced before. His home was full of crime, deception and some of the most unsavory characters one could hope never to encounter. Though he could see that something troubled this stranger, something resting heavily upon her shoulders that she constantly carried with her from her waking hours into her sleep. Of course he needed to ask, she seemed kind so what harm could it do to be just a little nosy? The answer he received shocked him, it sounded unbelievable though after she finished explaining what had happened there was no laughter or smiles. He felt a sharp twang of pain in his heart for this girl he had just met, though why should he? He had only just met her. Azuro cleared his throat his bravado once again illuminating his face. "Well tonight I'm yours, and I won't be leaving you alone with ancient demons until we see the sun rise, we pass out or maybe even both."
