Biography

| CASTOR | [♫] Master of Draconic Cultures
{ Draconologist | He/Him | Gay }

An important part of survival is planning for the inevitability of conflict. Eventually, you will come across a foe you have never faced, and so you will be at a disadvantage. If this foe is more knowledgeable than you, if they have studied or fought similar opponents, they will, in turn, have the upper hand. You must be able to predict your enemy’s movements and be aware of the limits of their abilities, both physical and magical.

That is where Castor comes into play.

Though the finer details of his early life remain murky, Castor is unmistakably a child of the Plaguebringer. Weak of body, he turned instead to his considerable intellect and ravenous curiosity to aid his birth clan in their never-ending struggle for survival. As he grew, he began to keep journals detailing his clanmates’ fighting styles, the strategies they favored, and even their long-term health. Using his notes, he could accurately assess for them whether an enemy was worth engaging, or if it would be better to focus their efforts elsewhere on a more manageable target.

His birth clan flourished under his guidance, but something happened to turn the tides against them. He has never said what, only that he was blamed and subsequently cast out. He took his studies abroad, absorbing information from clans all across the Continent, until he became known as the premier expert in the field of draconology. If you seek knowledge of draconic anatomy, if you want to know how to tell a dragon’s magical potential at a glance, if you desire the key to your arch nemesis’ demise, you need only ask—and pay a reasonable sum.

Why he settled in Clan Feldspar is anyone’s guess. The business opportunities are plentiful, but it has grown from a sleepy mountain village into a bustling mercantile hub, the sort of place you wouldn’t expect an unfriendly Plague Mirror to find appealing. True to his character, he leaves his home on the city outskirts for only two reasons: business and a pint of ale at Sitri’s tavern.
