Biography
Deniere
With padded footsteps as silent as the moment of anticipation when an egg begins to hatch, Deniere is the clan’s scout, sent ahead to judge the circumstances. Are these dragons friend or foe? Is this newly discovered land home to hostile creatures? How severe is this area? Is the land itself hostile? Deniere is a master of scouting to find out all this information and more.
Deniere keeps meticulous records of everything, everywhere, and everyone he has scouted, and refers back to them frequently. He knows that his updated knowledge could be the difference between staging an ambush and being the victim of one, or worse. As such, even when he doesn’t have a current mission, Deniere is out scouting, checking and double-checking areas he has already surveyed for any changes within the area.
He is just as quiet and sneaky at home with the clan, too. Many dragons have been terrified by the low murmur of Deniere’s low voice suddenly popping up behind them. Once, a visitor stopped and stared at a strange looking rock, wondering if it had always been there, when they suddenly realized it was Deniere, fast asleep! And this wasn’t the only time this happened — Deniere’s favorite sleeping position is all curled up in a ball, using his own fur as his pillow, and as a result, he is commonly mistaken for a rock or a comfy pillow.
He is very reserved and keeps to himself, unless his skills and knowledge are being called upon, but he loves his family and his clan dearly and does what he does to protect them. He would go to the ends of the earth for the clan, and humbly denies it when the clan reminds him that his scouting has saved their way of life countless times.
