ABOUT - » Drake grew up on the seas - having no home clan, he resorted to pillaging for a living and faith in the Tidelord to ease his mind. He wasn't entirely happy with his antisocial lifestyle; Drake is friendly by nature, and he never truly enjoyed the thrill of stealing or fearmongering (even if he got admittedly very good at it). Confrontation became an instinct, but has dwindled with age. One day he stumbled into a small rock formation while sailing over the Fishspine Reef during a particularly violent storm, only to be attacked by a massive female Guardian. It was far from the most romantic of beginnings, especially with Freida's extreme distaste for pirates. Despite her disgust, Drake decided to stick around and learn from her lifestyle - she very clearly was "above" stealing (something Drake frequently teased her about), and he was intrigued. He had heard of the "charge" that Guardians tended to take at certain points in their lives and wondered if it was responsible for the increasingly strong bond between them, but no - the two were simply developing feelings for one another. The pair had a clutch of eggs together young, and haven't interested themselves in hatchlings since. Drake wondered if they should take in more dragons like himself - those who, if left on their own, may turn to survival at the expense of others. Their lair only expanded from there. Of his three sons, two declared their loyalty to the Tidelord by exalting themselves, while the youngest remained and created the Clan Guard to protect from Beastclans and hostile outsiders. Drake remains sociable and friendly, but old habits die hard - Freida will often scoff that he is worse than a Ridgeback when it comes to "borrowing." He's still a bit rough around the edges, but is an adept flier because of his months of constant flight in any condition and is the more approachable of the two leaders. » "So long as you have a purpose, you have a place here." » Pansexual; Mated to Freida |

 OTHER NOTES - » Trivia: Drake's name is a very basic one for a dragon--when he was alone, he had no name as he had no parents. When he met Freida, she called him "drake," the term for a male dragon, since she did not know his name. Needless to say, it stuck. Despite his past as a criminal, Drake is in charge of the clan's diplomacy affairs and meeting with outside clans, while Freida focuses more on rules and internal structure. He has the tendency to treat any dragon younger than himself (in the clan, that is) like his child, to the annoyance of some. Hoards plushies, to Freida's chagrin. » Etymology: Drake (pr.
