Uwazi

despite leadership being in her blood, uwazi has a strict distaste for politics and controlling others. uwazi is a bit of a pirate—she’s good friends with aryk, and learned to build her own boat from the snapper. as a hatchling, she was always enthralled by her father’s stories about his life as a lone pirate, but he never expected she would grow up to attempt to take after him.
she’s more of a rogue sailor than an actual pirate, but she has been known to rob lost ships that venture too close to the clan’s borders. she tends to prey more on wealthy merchant ships (she particularly enjoys pillaging ships from the light and fire flights, given their penchant for hauling shiny things) as a sort of robin hood figure.

drake has set her on the straight(er) and narrow(er), appointing her as first mate on the ferry between the jumeaux’s shadow and water territories. she was happy to lend her ship to her father…she just continues her activities from the air now, while she searches for lost travelers who may need a ride.
