Amphitrite

Amphitrite is a princess from the ruling family in Carthis, the City by the Sea. Carthis was the most beautiful and admired city in the Realm with sea glass windows, glittering ocean flower gardens, luminescent pearls dotting the castle close and spiraling coral towers. To the Realm's dismay it was besieged and destroyed by the berserker pirates many years ago.

The walls of the castle were breached and burning and the king was slain. Amphitrite's mother escaped the castle during darkman's hour, carrying an unhatched egg in her silks as she was chased by a salvo of dragons. She swam to Crystal Cove, where she buried the egg under the waves and prayed. The pirates closed in on her, capturing her and taking her back to the ruins of Carthis before killing her. They went back and searched and searched for the egg but could not find it.

Siren had been watching the events unfold from the waters. She retrieved the egg from the sands but then lost it when she was netted by fisherdragons shortly after, who kept the two as trophies. Amphitrite was not hatched for many months, and when she finally did hatch the two prisoners grew up in chains, bound to the ruins until the day the fisherdragons were attacked and killed by Hera and her friends passing by. Amphitrite and Siren went undiscovered for days until Caerus went exploring, finding the two huddled together and starving. To this day she wears remnants of the chains that tied her to her home, not with pride but with memory. She is the wife of Poseidon, the only other dragon who loves the ocean as much as she. She currently teaches hatchlings basic subjects such as algebra, spelling and the natural sciences and makes them laugh in any way she can.
