Exu

Started as a royal basic/red freckle/soil basic tundra with different eyes (maybe common? uncommon? spiral? I don't remember. Probably common).

Eshu or Exu, maybe Esu - all are various names around the world (Brazil and Umbanda will probably feature most prominently as an influence in eventual lore) for a being called an orisha of the Yoruba people in West Africa. This is something like an avatar or embodiment of key forces, not exactly a deity.

They are often represented as male, but queer cosmology highlights that in taking many forms for their trickery and in much of the lore they are considered both male and female at the same time. Many times their feminine side is as obvious as their male one. We will be using that influence in this clan.

Either way, Eshu/Exu is the embodiment of mischief and trickery, dealing with chaos, roads - metaphorical, spiritual, and literal; particularly crossroads - travellers, justice, and wisdom. Their various tricks were often done for the betterment of their targets, to teach them important lessons. They were particularly fond of helping people see that there are always two or more sides to every issue. Often works as a messenger and open and closes roads between spirit realm, has two faces, often appears in black and red, but sometimes black and white. Thought to be agile and always willing to rise to a challenge. They can be quite devillish toward those who celebrate wicked ways and injustice.
