Ghoul seems the picture of polite chivalry, doesn't he? There are not many Lightning dragons within the clan, and his turquoise eyes look so alert and aware. He has that cool, collected grin that shows just the right number of gleaming fangs that seal all promises. He nods and shakes his head in silence at the side of his mate and the clan matriarch, Combustiere. In her absence, he smiles and gives the most diplomatic of answers. But there are times where the smile gets a little too wide, that his bright eyes gleam a little brighter. There is something...off there. Perhaps it is that Lightning inclination to experiment, to put curiosity before kindness. Or maybe it is his Mirror propensity for temper snaps, when the electricity arcs from him like a blown fuse and it is best to give him a wide berth. He has no concern for his progeny, and is more than content to send them off to Mother Flamecaller.

And yet, there must be a reason that Combustiere allowed him to be so close to her. She is too wise, too strong to be under the sway of such a creature. Even when he first came to the clan in its fledgling days with a matriarch struggling to keep her kin safe and a patriarch who seemed absent more often than not, she didn't need him. She still doesn't, it seems. He is certainly genuinely fond of her. The way he leans against her when at her side, the enormous respect he gives her that he offers to no others, how intensely protective he is of her - ironic in that she is infinitely stronger than he is - must be indicative of something deeper at play. But what is it? Well, he certainly isn't telling.
