Helios

Helios is an old being. His mother is the sun; he has no father. He used to be a wanderer, scouting his way across the world, until he found the Plateau and was fascinated and enraptured by its energy. It was there that he met Windracer and committed himself to a more mortal life.
Usually, he seems to be an ordinary mirror. He's not very impressive to look at; his colors are bright, but simple, and he doesn't draw too much attention to himself, content to sit at his mate's side and soothe her troubles. He likes the quiet; he likes being almost nobody. Being just Helios, the clan leader's mate, friendly and welcoming and warm.
But Windracer is not the only dragon who will fight if pressed. Helios is a warrior. He still goes out on patrols with clanmates, and doesn't hesitate to use force if he needs to. In addition to his claws and teeth, and weapons from the clan's armory, he also possesses a unique magic, a birthright from his mother: solar flares, which he can call down upon any enemy to scorch them to dust. He has not used this ability in decades, but the memory of the time he did still stands out, black and charred, in the landscape somewhere to the north.
He can also control his body temperature perfectly, keeping it at a cool draconic temperature, raising it to aid in egg incubation, or even increasing it to burning temperatures to hurt an unfriendly individual who may be holding on to him, as in battle.

Ho there! Who might you be? I've never seen you before, and I've seen many who fly beneath the sun in this wondrous place.

Get back! I'll kill you if you come any closer! My claws have shed the blood of many before you; don't think I won't follow through on this threat!

I... my lady, let me assure you I have no intention of harming you. I simply want to know who you are. I've never seen you here, and you have a... an aura, I suppose, about you. One I've never seen in a mortal dragon before.

My name is Windracer, of the Tyrwood. Identify yourself before you become the next life I take.

The Tyrwood... that's very far away, isn't it? You've come a far distance from your home. Ah - I see your eyes. I am Helios, son of the sun. Lay down your battle claws, please? You seem weary, and I give you my word, my vow, that upon my own life and the life of my mother and the world, that I will never raise a claw against you.
