Biography
The runt of his litter, Atreus always felt the need to prove himself to his parents and anyone around him. Even as an adult, he never did quite reach the same size as his siblings. Acutely aware of this, Atreus has more than enough attitude—or ego—to make up for any deficiencies in stature. Brazenly cocky with an unfortunate tendency to take after his father in certain aspects, Atreus often comes off as a know-it-all to those he meets. He doesn't have many friends, and doesn't particularly feel he needs them.
He has a strange and complicated relationship with Niamh, who quickly identified him as a target for her mockery. To be fair, he did make a point of insulting her when they first met, and several times after that, so he has no one to blame but himself. He doesn't quite see things that way, however, which has led to an ongoing antagonism between the two throughout the years. Periodically their tempers will cool and their antagonistic rivalry will lapse into something more closely resembling an awkward friendship, and there are even times where they actually like each other. However, both would be loathe to admit it. These moments in time are usually brief and quickly flare right back up into their usual contentious relationship.
