“The night stared me in the face, amorphous, blind, infinite, without frontiers. Not a single star relieved the darkness behind the glass.”

Though she was born into a neighboring clan in the Windswept Plateau, Mira always felt a strong connection to the stars. The darkness sang sweet songs to her and often she could be found awake in the darkest of hours, sleeping throughout the day. Though her parents loved her dearly, they were destined for other plots. It was a nearly a ritual that those who entered the clan chose to shed their former skins behind and take the form of Snappers (said to be the oldest and wisest of dragon forms). This ritual, while not exclusive, tended to leave gaps between parents and children who failed to follow along into the clan's preferred form.
Knowing her destiny wasn't to be part of the light and windswept laughter of her own clan, Mira found herself following the sound of the Star Song. This song led her across Sornieth to the lands of Shadow for a while, where eternal night reigned and the stars could be heard most clearly. It was there she wandered into the Ghostlight Ruins, unaware of the dangers the territory held. Though she ultimately escaped, she was no longer quite the same, the light in her eyes didn't shine as bright as before, and there was just a small hint of what might be the Shade within her. In time she returned to the land of her birth, though she chose not to return to the clan of her parents. Instead she wandered until found by a sentry of the Passus Canorous. Curious, she followed him back to the clan and found herself welcomed despite her darkened soul and somewhat detached personality. She has been welcomed into the Star Cult, a small group of celestially named dragons who all claim to be able to hear the stars and their orders. Considered generally harmless, the group is allowed to practice their own worship practices provided no one is forced to join in or harmed in the process. During her time in the Passus Canorous, Mira has grown close to Asterion, a young Tundra who hails from Shadow. He too is a member of the Òrdugh Rionnag. He's recently taken her under his wing to teach her the art of weaving, more specifically how to make impervious and magical cloth from the shedded hair of their fellow clanmates. Recently it's been discovered that Mira is rather shy when it comes to performing the do to make eggs in the nesting ground. She cannot have her Aer Phantom, Wick, watching and she has to be undressed to perform any of the necessary steps for eggs.
