Ihipa - Seamstress

Mate of Dysmas

Personality:

Ihipa is a warm and caring dragon. She's generally rather soft-spoken as a rule, but she's also curious and actually quite adventurous. She adores her friends and family and will defend them above all else. It can make her seem a little unreasonable at times as she will refuse to budge in her stances when it comes to her loved ones. Other than that though she's a rather gentle soul and doesn't particularly like conflict. She always prefers talking something over to fighting it out. Ihipa is a very patient dragoness, one would have to be to deal with her mate's often workaholic tendencies!

History:

Ihipa was young when she felt wanderlust grip her. She cheerfully bid her parents goodbye as soon as if was reasonable to do so and left with naught but a handful of treasure and an itch in her bones. She went on her merry way. She bounced around through places like the Sunbeam Ruins, and she braved the Tangled Wood, and even waltzed her way through the Starfall Isles.

It was wonderful, and all so very brand new, that Ihipa almost couldn't take it! She loved traveling so much. Still, it would perhaps be nice to have somewhere more permanent. Ihipa managed to scrape by simply by offering her services in whatever she could. She learned many skills that she would never have even thought about if she'd stayed in the Shifting Expanse.

Her favourite, by far, was sewing. Anything that required delicate needlework, Ihipa was on it. But she couldn't well pursue this passion when she kept moving every few days, so she began to look more critically at the clans she stayed with. Perhaps searching for a place she could actually belong to. Even if it meant giving up her nomadic ways.

She came upon a clan in the Southern Icefields and decided it was as well as any to stay with for a time. Quickly she learned that their previous seamstress, an apparently lovely dragoness by the name of Anenome, has left scant weeks before. Quickly, Ihipa filled the niche and met another dragon of the clan. Dysmas. Dysmas, who was an artist who forgot that he had paint on his face and smiled so genuinely that she couldn't help but find herself drawn in.

He courted her with art, beautiful landscapes that took her breath away. Still, all the landscapes were of ice and powerful ocean and the like, none of the other wonders that Ihipa had seen. Still, she was in love, and Dysmas instantly vouched for her to stay in the clan and continue as a seamstress in an official capacity.

She does love him, and now when she journeys out to get new materials and maybe just tour around a little (that wanderlust had never quite left her after all) she takes Dysmas with her. She shows her mate the beauty of the surrounding lands and in turn he paints beautiful artwork to hang up in their cave. That way she never feels trapped, all she has to do is look at the art on the walls and she is transported far away.

She's never been happier.
