Theodosia - Mage of the Coliseum

Personality:

Theodosia is a flirtatious, free-thinking dragon with a stubborn streak a mile wide to match her fiery personality. She's always up for a good time! Don't take this the wrong way though, she can take care of herself very well. She has left more than one dragon in tears in her wake. She's headstrong to the extreme and heartily dislikes being told 'no' to the point where she will accomplish many things out of pure spite. Spite is a very strong motivator, after all. Theodosia enjoys being in the spotlight and standing out of the crowd, and she especially likes being the center of attention. She can be a very social butterfly. She can come off as haughty with a 'better than you' attitude, and she's sees this as perfectly justified as she's already a rather talented mage.

History:

Theodosia is the daughter of Dysmas and Ihipa. A third generation child who decided to stay with the clan. Her parents are artisans, a seamstress and an artist, so of course Theodosia decided to ignore the category and idealize the Coliseum Warriors who were scarred and battered beyond belief, but had the respect of the entire clan.

So instead of settling down, Theodosia decided she wanted to be a Coliseum dragon. She was told that they already had a strong team that went out, and Princess Asra as a backup as well! It was unlikely that she would ever become one of the clans trusted Coliseum dragons. Of course, Theodosia took this negative like she takes most of them, she ground it beneath her heel and did the thing anyway. So when she was, well, eavesdropping to put it bluntly, she heard Siberia and Shani discussing how difficult the Golem Workshop was and how often they had to retreat due to wounds and whatnot, Theodosia got an idea.

Her parents traveled often and far, and as a young dragon she had gone with them and met many different clans and dragons. The main point here, is that she'd met other teams, and most of them had a Mage or a Healer or whatever they wanted to call themselves. They could attack and heal and that was a way she could be incredibly useful.

Theodosia learned a bit on her own, how to contuse an enemy and a special ice attack she learned from a mage from a neighboring clan. Then she presented her idea before the Warriors Three and Princess Asra, she was met with a bit of bemusement at first until they got a solid grasp on exactly what she was proposing. A dragon to go along and heal them as they went, which wouldn't just help with one venue but with the others that held terrible large monsters that also gave them difficulty.

So she was taken on as an apprentice Coliseum Dragon, and she went in with wide eyes and a dream, weaking ice magic and healing spells and having the time of her life. She was good, though not at the level she eventually aimed for. Her mother gifted her silken apparel for the more mystical mage look Theodosia had decided to go for.

Theodosia was an accomplished young dragon. She was also a rather flirtatious one. She has a tendency to flirt with no real commitment. The first time flirting went further and Theodosia found herself with a nest of not one, not two, but four eggs was when she met a dragon by the name of Alston who was equally flirtatious and complimented her with the skill of a true poet. He left before she found herself with a clutch and she made no real effort to contact him either. It was just a casual fling, after all.

Theodosia isn't the best of mother material, but that's okay because her mother, Ihipa, is the one that watches the children when she goes to the Coliseum. Theodosia is actually rather thrilled to be a mother, to spread her good genes around she says. So there may be more hatchlings planned in the future if the glint in her eyes is anything to go by.

Dear Mother,

I hope this letter reaches you well. I know it's been a while since we last spoke. I just wanted to update you on my whereabouts. Shortly after leaving you, I found myself on a boat called ~~Calipso~~ Calypso's Call. The captain's name is Emerson, and although he says he's not a pirate, he definitely is.

I feel like I have a bit of my father in me. Even since boarding this ship I've done nothing but play music and dance. It's fun, and I feel like I could spend the rest of my life on this ship. The other ~~pirates~~ ~~crew mates~~ dragons on this boat are pretty interesting. Emerson said the reason he started this journey was to find his long-lost mate, and now he's stuck in the habit. Funny, huh?

We're headed to Dragonhome next. I've never been there. It seems this ship travels a lot. Hopefully that means I'll get to see you again soon one day.

I'm sorry it's been so long since my last letter! It's hard to keep track of the days on a ship, and I feel like time has been flying by! We've been off the coast of the Starfall Isles for a while now. It's nice here, the dragons are friendly. Dragonhome was pretty boring. We didn't stay long, thank the Warden. I think my favourite place so far has been the Windswept Plateau. We visited a city there, called Mint City. There were so many dragons, and an amazing marketplace. I managed to trade a few goods for some gold. But now I'm rambling!

Captain Emerson is handsome. Very handsome. Unfortunately he's in a very committed relationship, or I would have tried to charm him, haha. There is another Skydancer on board, Eirik. He's a kind fellow, treats me well, we laugh a lot. He flirts with everyone, though, so it's hard to say if he likes me or not. Who knows! Maybe one day something will happen between the two of us. Oh gosh, Mom, now I'm blushing.

Softshell Scorpion is still my favourite! I couldn't tell you the last time I had one. I'll have to hide them from the others! Thank you so much!
