Responsibilities

Coal runs the clan's Gem Exchange thread. He spends his days meticulously counting gems and treasure, trading other dragons in Sornieth for the currency he wants. He always returns to the lair with a little currency tucked away for himself. Coal is the firstborn of the Glass Shatter's matriarch and patriarch. Though he grew restless and left to live with another clan in the shadows for a year, Aries welcomed him home. She knows he skims from the gem stash, but she allows it. She knows where he hides his loot and could take it all back in an instant if she chose to.

Another dragon would have been killed for the same treachery. In fact, others have been ruthlessly exalted for the exact same crime. It's lucky that Aries sees so much of herself in Coal, she has a deep rooted respect and admiration for her thieving son.
