Joy has one goal in life, and that is to see the world.

Simple enough task, but rather lonesome. So she has two choices. Either explore the world on her own, or perhaps with a close friend she may meet in her travels or abandon her own goal to settle into a lair. Not a simple choice, considering it took her a month to finally make up her find.

Putting aside her dream, Joy took to looking for a new clan somewhere else in the world. At the very least, she'll be able to live in a new setting.

Her new clan however is far from what she had expected. Nothing seems normal here. From the dark casted land, to the burrowing tunnels leading to the clans home, and even those she now calls her clan mates.

Mad dragons guarding the clan. Thieves acting as gatherers. Scientists with morals that would make even the Icewarden seem sane.

But it seems after her small joining period, that this is exactly where Joy belongs, having just as odd of as a role as her clan mates. Joy stands among her clanmates as the Spy Master, her role allowing her to travel all over Southerin gaining information.

Joy has not only spent months on end with other clans in every deity's territory, but she has also managed to befriend several of the local Beast clans, speaking 7 different beast clan languages.

Maybe Joy isn't simply exploring the world as she once intended, but here in Clan Certo, Joy is now able to explore the world and help a clan she can constantly return to and call home.

This girl lay coiled up in the nursery,
warmed with a blanket and completely
exhausted. She woke once to be fed
soft meat and crushed insects. Despite
being newly hatched she already displays
a bit of the energy of her species: she tried
to look everywhere at once and keep her
eyes open, but she failed at both.

Hope and her brother became more interested
in exploring the Nursery, spending a short
while crawling (or in her case, slithering)
around it and playing.

Hope and her fae siblings became very
interested in their growth journals and
began destroying the pages in various
ways. This little hatchling began
shredding the pages quite energetically
before I was able to catch her.

Her growth over the past few days differed
from her siblings, mostly because she was
a Spiral and they were Faes. She can
travel faster than them, at the time of this
entry she can slither swiftly in true Spiral
fashion, but she isn't interested in her
wings yet. I worry for her, but Keeper
assured me it was natural for Spiral
hatchlings to begin attempting flight later
then their non-Spiral siblings. He
proceeded to cite several books on
hatchling raising if I wished to know more
on the subject.

Upon watching her youngest sister fly, this
Spiral took an interest in her own wings for
the first time and tried flapping with them.
She talks at a million miles an hour, telling
the clan all about the nursery, her siblings,
her favorite color and how big she thinks
the sky is.

The little Spiral has 'come of age', and as
tribe tradition dictates she has been given
a name. Her mother, Hope, chose the
name Joy, reminding her daughter to
bring joy to others around her and to
never put another dragon down. Joy is
capable of short, wild flights that often
involve her crashing into things. Come of
age or not, she still has a lot of growing to
do.
