PERMA
Awakened: Hurricane Herald; Maren Ambusher; Common Podid; Ruffle Glasswing; Longjaw Lurefish
Greenworth thinks very highly of himself. He isn't mean to anyone else because of it, but he's standoffish enough to be considered a bit of a snob.
He's head over heels over his first babies, however! And by the way, he notes, aren't they the most beautiful offspring you've ever seen?
***
"I can't believe the twins would follow those Spiral brothers into service of the Windsinger! We had it so easy here, and they went to all that trouble to train ... I guess love makes you do things you don't expect. Then again, I've been feeling restless lately, even considering joining the couriers myself - me! - but I don't know ... Simon has never said anything about my doing nothing much all day, but I just feel like he'd think better of me if, if ... oh, argh!"
They eventually revealed their full feelings towards each other and committed to a relationship with a quiet exchange of tail rings.
Simon's industriousness has inspired him to look just a little bit harder for the herbs and growing things that are difficult to keep in enough supply at the Weyr, whether for healing, alchemy, or cooking! And as he's done so, he's found it ever easier to find what they want. A little bit of Nature magic still runs through his veins, for all he's lived at WindSky Weyr most of his life, and his new focus has strengthened it without his realizing. He enjoys the accolades when he brings home some elusive leaf or shoot. Not that he has tried to keep his sites a secret, no, he's tried to describe the places to go, so others can do the work of gathering, but no one else seems to have his luck, except for with the more common plants. It isn't really that much work to him, though.
One day Greenworth went to a favorite herb patch, always reliable, and found it had been decimated! Eventually he discovered the reason - rabbits had set up a den nearby! He set about trapping them, much to the delight of the meateaters in the Weyr, but one was different, colored black and white. He brought it home and was shocked to see Simon's reaction, cooing over it like a baby. He made it a gift, delighted to be the source of something that so pleased his mate! But then other dragons wanted to know how they could get one. So he began to keep an eye out, and eventually trapped another of the opposite sex. Now he has begun a breeding program, which, in stark contrast to expectations, has been a slow process. Apparently they do not reproduce profligately! Greenworth doesn't mind, as it ensures he makes a good profit whenever their baby buns are grown enough to leave their parents.
