Sadness inside from the truth that she hides 'row row row the boat sadly down the stream bitterly bitterly bitterly bitterly life's a ******* tease'" While she is slightly more personable these days given she holds the throne and is often seen around other dragons or the Swarm, a pained look sometimes flickers across on her face. While she doesn't say it, and she's loathe to admit it, something's wrong within the clan. Yet Ishtar seems unwilling - or unable - to speak of it. Sometimes she can be seen staring out at nothing, heartbreak on what can be seen of her face. When asked, her only response is a simple 'It's our fate. It'll always be our fate.' What fate this is remains unknown; perhaps for the best. These days, she is rarely seen at Tarn's side, though dragons known to be loyal to him are often at her's. She doesn't seem to notice or mind. Her twin may call her naive, but Ishtar only smiles sharply. Naive? Hardly. --- Reclusive and quiet, many mistake the imperial as shy, subdued by her life in Shadowsong as she keeps her head down. Nothing could be further from the truth: She knew her likely path, and she knew Ismael when he came for her. She knew his power and how it writhed and roiled within him. Her half-brother and keeper, but pawn she is not. What she Sees she often keeps to herself, unless asked. Her eyes are often milky and pale with Sight, and even then, the weight of her gaze is rather unsettling; everyone she looks at claims she knows everything about you. Sometimes her form flickers, a thousand million and one eyes covering her, gone in a blink. Most of the clan dismiss this as seeing things - she's a powerful arcane dragon, even without her Sight. Only two dragons know the truth as to how powerful, though there are hushed rumours that she is capable of tearing open multiple dimensions at once. |
