Miriel is a fun-loving and cheerful dragon from the Sea of One Thousand Currents. She's easygoing, lives life to the fullest, and is more than a little goofy! Sometimes it's hard to get her to take anything seriously - she marches to the beat of her own drum, but to some (particularly her mate DaiShan) it makes her all the more loveable.
Miriel was hatched deep in the ocean to loving, if a little distant, parents. She loves water and originally wasn't at all happy to have her parents send her off as a diplomat. She had friends and a home here! They shouldn't make her move just to "encourage good relations" and "display friendship", Miriel couldn't have cared less what their neighbors thought of them. Still, she was a good young dragon who did as she was told, so when the small troupe of Wind representatives came to pick her up at the edge of the water she readied herself for a sad farewell to her sea home, family and friends. What she didn't ready herself for was the handsome guardian who came with them. He was sturdily built and muscular, and his scales were gleaming and shiny in the afternoon sunshine. Miriel gulped - she'd never met such a beautiful guardian. She'd never met such a beautiful dragon! The butterflies prominently displayed on her wings felt like they were in her stomach. Suddenly, living in Wind territory didn't seem nearly as bad. DaiShan wasn't always the easiest to get along with, or the most affectionate. He could be cold and calculating, but as Miriel began to hang around him and his warriors more often, she discovered he had a softer side too (and promptly fell even harder for him). Wherever DaiShan went, Miriel was soon to follow, though she was never quite sure if he really did like her back... Until, one day, he asked her to be his mate and she was all too happy to oblige. |
