It wasn't that hard.

She waltzes into the marketplace, sun reflecting off jewelry and feathers and looking every bit as regal and demure as a queen. They turn to watch her, some in awe, others in distaste, but they look all the same. They see only what they wish to see, judging her on appearance and attitude as if that was all she was.

They never have a chance, but they only have themselves to blame. Diaphane just dips her head, smile soft and small and with the barest hint of pleasure, and glides on her way. She leaves bewilderment behind her, and the sense of a bargain poorly made.

It wasn't that hard.

Although she is the lair's main trader for everything from food to materials to living beings, Dia's private passion are the tea sets and expensive teas she collects from all over the world. Her collection is extensive, ranging from priceless treasures to chipped pieces valuable only because of the memories evoked. She believes that the best way to keep a tea pot in proper condition is to use it, and merchants have rarely been served tea from the same vessel twice.

Diaphane is named after an old synonym for Moraea sisyrinchium, the dwarf iris. The word is Latin for diaphanous.
