Biography
**Huntsmaster
A newcomer from the Frigid Floes, Zhelty hasn't shown much interest in socializing yet, but he seems quite fond of cuddling against the older members. He also shows a more-than-healthy curiosity about his new home, a sure sign of an Arcane convert in the making. Somehow, he has managed to convince one of the Serthis hanging around the den to act as his hands for dealing with things he can't reach yet. She goes along with it half out of amusement and half because a determined Mirror is very hard to tell "no".
No one in the den is quite sure if this little dragon is incapable of talking or just chooses not to. He rarely makes any sounds at all.
Zhelty has grown no more talkative since reaching his adult size, but he has grown more restless. He spends a lot of time roaming the nearby forest or following the scouting parties when they head east.
Zhelty learned how to fight after getting caught in a scuffle when he was out foraging. Seneiti was also scrounging in the area and rescued him. Since then, Zhelty has been spending a lot of time honing his skills. He never wants to be caught vulnerable like that again.
Slow to trust, Zhelty comes off as distant and unapproachable to almost everyone at first, but if someone is willing and patient enough to endure his frosty silence, he eventually warms up to them. A friend of Zhelty has a friend for life, and a fierce protector whenever they need him. He has a tendency to use deadpan sarcasm in most conversations without warning, which severely confuses the dragons who aren't familiar with him and thoroughly entertains those who are.
Zhelty still bears physical scars of the foraging incident, even if he has mostly outgrown the psychological ones. His shoulders are still marked with the manticore's claws, and his wings, damaged by the attack, grew stunted and short. He can only fly short distances, and only through great effort, but he makes up for it by being the fastest runner in the entire clan, a title he fiercely defends by training to outrun any newcomers who try and take it.
He fought the rebels with terrifying ferocity during the Twenty-Fourth Arcane Hunger Games. At first, Zhelty preferred to remain close to Aered and act as her guard, but the appearance of the Emperor roused a fury in him more terrible than anything he had ever shown before. His attacks took on a brutal nature even after it was defeated; he is firmly convinced that the rebellion had something to do with summoning the monstrosity, and furious that Aered forgave them so easily.
Years have passed, and while Zhelty has let go of his anger, he has not forgotten the skill and ferocity he showed so long ago. He now leads the clan's small band of Hunters, those dragons who have shown enough prowess in battle to earn his attention and respect. Though few in number, they are fierce as any mirror-pack, and Zhelty is proud to count his comrades as the greatest defenders of his home.
