Beekeeper

While most of his kind are of the "ferocious warrior" type, dueling for their place in the pack and to prove the strength of their words, Riviel tends bees. He's plenty vicious when he wants to be, especially if someone threatens his precious hives, but sudden movements agitate the bees, so Riviel almost always moves slowly and calmly in everything he does. Would-be pilferers are very surprised when this vibrant wildclaw serenely flattens them and removes them from the premises. Unfortunately for thieves, word rarely gets around, since no one’s willing to admit they lost to a dragon who normally moves about as fast as a dozing snapper. If given a chance, though, Riviel greatly prefers talking potential disruptions into leaving first. There's always a chance the scuffle will knock something over, and then everyone's in trouble.
Riviel's best friend and customer is probably Leroy, who makes great use of beeswax in his endless creation of candles. After Leroy mentioned Lyra's habit of bringing him different flowers and dyes to change the candles, Riviel began experimenting with introducing his swarms to different plants to see what would happen to the wax and honey. The results have been so far spectacular.
His second best customer is the General Kaissetha, though Riviel respects the pearlcatcher's pride (and strength) enough to keep this to himself. In return, Kaissetha subtly keeps an eye on the fields and hives for him when Riviel needs time off, or has Rhiangar or Kriyei do so when he's too busy. Kriyei in particular loves this "duty" and uses it as a chance to experiment with nature magic. Rhian tends to be too nervous about accidentally setting things on fire.
