Gizmo’s never had much attachment to its earthly ties. Isn’t life easier as a robot? This might have something to do with having been rejected from its birth clan (a blue Fire dragon? blasphemy), but a passing traveler ensured its survival in the Golem Workshop.

When Gizmo met Riviana, herself adrift at the time, the two bonded quickly. They’ve since carved their own Workshop niches; Gizmo has dubbed itself a “constructitian,” and worked tirelessly for years. Since then it’s come to terms with actually having flesh (and doesn’t push itself to burnout anymore), but the gears of its bond with Rivi churn tirelessly as ever.
