" ..." Daughter of an esteemed medic and beloved viscount, Ariel was destined for greatness. In her youth she was known as diligent, delightful and diplomatic; therefore, it was a surprise to everyone when she decided to train under her mother in the field of medicine instead of going into politics like her father. After several years of intense training she began accompanying warriors into the Coliseum as a field medic. Though challenging, she handled everything in stride. Learning and honing her craft with every battle and every mistake. She was tenacious, and then tragedy struck. As she recalled later on, the initial battle was uneventful, a nice change of pace from the warriors typical campaign. She was accompanying a group of warriors returning from the Boreal Woods when they were ambushed by a Longneck Hunting party. When she awoke, the world around her had become a strange new place. She wandered the woods for days, and has very little memory of this time. All the clan knows, is that she eventually showed up one day half carrying the clans scout. Instead of taking coin for saving his life, she asked for shelter and a change of pace. She has lived in the kingdom since. Nightmares still haunt her sometimes. It is always the same dream. The familiar panic and dread in her chest as she springs up out of bed, a snarl twisting her mouth and her claws ready. It is a while before she realises that she is safe. The collar and the birdskulls hide the scars, but the wounds run far deeper than she will care to admit. The clan doesn't know. Perhaps it would be better if it stayed that way.

Alternatively, condense a thin layer of ice directly over the area to form an ice pack.
