Lyla, the Warren's rose, a dragon of true noble beauty... She has heard those words repeated thousands of times from the tongues of foreigners and clanmates alike. Lyla comes from two near pure bloodlines of Imperials, so her presence demands respect, especially in the land where the breed originated. Unfortunately, she will never truly be accepted as a member of said bloodlines, all because of her mother.

Long ago, before she was born, new research began to emerge and all over Sorneith, dragons were using it to change their breed to one never before seen, Bogsneaks. Her mother, Varane, was deeply interested in this and she decided to make the change. Coming from a proud line of Imperials, her parents were furious. Now that she was no longer an Imperial, they cared not of her fate and abandoned her. Eventually, she managed to become mates with another near pure Imperial and eventually gained acceptance, Lyla wasn't so lucky. Since she was, by birth, a Bogsneak, the families tried to get rid of her as fast as possible. Eventually, she made it to the Sunbeam Ruins where she gained position and praise for the bloodline that previously caused her strife. Soon after, she joined the Warren, where she lives to this day.

Lyla, a rose among the clan, lives as a noble, elegant and respected. All dragons greet her, with bows and complements, instead of the beatings and jeers she grew up with. Be they close friends or complete strangers, all see her as beautiful rose, proud of her nobility and family, when deep inside, she harbors thorns. The wounds inflicted as a result of her heavily praised bloodline are still fresh and when anyone mentions her family directly, they almost always get pricked.
