Biography
Trauma Head Doctor of the Workshop Status: Undead Giggly | Cheerful | Cowardly | Deceptive | Motherly Once upon a time, Trauma served on the front lines of the Plaguebringer's armies as a skilled medic. The Plaguebringer's generals hailed Trauma as one of their best soldiers. Her skill in medicine seemed limitless. There was no one that Trauma couldn't patch up in a jiff. She could perform delicate, life-saving surgeries in the midst of battle. Where and when to deploy Trauma became a critical military decision during dominance battles. It was said that with her combination of alchemy, magic, and medicine, she could keep an entire platoon alive long after they should have been slaughtered. Yes, Trauma managed to fool even the Plaguebringer's top officers. In truth, she wasn't saving lives at all. Without telling anyone, she had been performing low-level necromancy spells in order to keep soldiers from dying. The soldiers who survived those battles were not strictly alive anymore. Her superiors soon discovered her deception. In shame, Trauma was expelled from the ranks of the Plaguebringer's armies. For the sin of using dark magic, the Plaguebringer's generals placed a bounty on her head. Trauma was forced to go into hiding to protect herself from the numerous mercenaries and bounty hunters on her trail. Grimoire, having heard of the Imperial's notorious reputation, offered her refuge in the Workshop. In the Workshop, Trauma could practice her particular brand of medicine without fear of reprisal. Trauma became the Workshop's medic and mortician. She is in charge of repairing Grimoire's soldiers (for a given definition of repair). However, Trauma's medical practices are dubious at best and highly unethical at worst. She might reattach your arm in the correct spot - or she might graft it to your rump just for giggles. As a result, most of the (still living) members of the Workshop are terrified to visit Trauma's clinic - for fear they might not be alive when they leave it. As the clan medic, she also oversees the care and keeping of any eggs and hatchlings. Trauma, perhaps surprisingly, loves hatchlings. Perhaps a little too much, since some experiments have resulted in her fusing eggs permanently to her body. Despite Trauma's eccentric behavior, she does have the occasional flash of genius. Trauma's surgeries may be quick and dirty, but they are often effective. Trauma is the reason why Grimoire's undead creations don't simply fall apart. So in spite of everything, Trauma is a surprisingly useful and effective member of the Workshop. |
