Kezran was always on the odd side, and he was always asking how things worked. He asked and pestered and prodded, until dragons started ignoring him. It didn’t deter him though, instead he went to wondering some more before he picked things apart himself. The clan didn’t appreciate the broken bits and baubles laying around, so as punishment Kazran had to fix it all himself. He plucked an old music player from the various items, and he has it to this day. It sits in the clan’s library and none but his mate can touch it.

Soon after the little incident Kezran took to reading. He stalked the library for all manner of books, and could always be found curled up in a stack of them in one corner or another. Amused hatchlings and other dragons alike would stop by to chat with the odd dragon. He would give them what he swore was his full attention, yet his eyes would always be scanning texts. He would still talk and listen just as any other dragon would, in fact the insights that he gave were usually more helpful than those of most dragons. The clan called him their ‘Philosopher’ as a joke, but it quickly became a true title.

Kezran became known as the ‘Library Hermit.’ The dragon practically lived and breathed the library. The clan had to make him a room of his own, because they couldn’t remove him from the place. Traveling dragons would still stop by to see him, and there was only one time that he wasn’t there. He had gone out to venture around in search of more books. The beastclans came upon him, but he escaped only wounded, which was quite the feat for someone who rarely left a single building. Another dragon healed his wounds. Her name was Lylia and he was in love from the second that their eyes locked.

Kezran continued to pursue knowledge and still does to this day. He leaves the clan only to find more books, scrolls, and spells. The only time that he leaves his studies to is attend to his hatchlings or mate. He would be overjoyed, if his hatchlings would be scholars, or even their hatchlings - now that would be wondrous. He’s still just as encouraging, regardless of the path they choose to take. Unless it involves death or an unending goth phase. He might draw the line there…
