Most dragons take years to gain the knowledge that Lylia has. That said, she isn’t the typical doctor. She knows everything from what worked a few hundred years ago - the remedies that really worked, and she’s always caught up with the newest cures. Choosing not the specialize has earned her some contempt from other doctors and healers, but Lylia is far too busy to pay any attention to them.

She changes to fit her circumstances. Do the dragons in the field need assistance? She’ll be there with the bandaging and medicine to help with clotting and closing their wounds. She prefers not to, but if need be she can defend herself from others. After all, a dead doctor isn’t any help to others. She can remedy almost any ailment, and if she can’t fix it herself she can definitely point to someone who can. She takes her oath as a doctor seriously, and if she can’t save a dragon, it’s her fault.

This isn’t always the case, in fact most of the time saving the dragon just couldn’t be done. Her mate, Kezran, is almost always there to remind her of this. Her children as well, and even other members of the clan. Lylia has been in the clan for so long that she helped many of the clan’s members hatch. That had to be one of her greatest joys.

Being the clan’s doctor means dealing with midnight calls and sickness at sunrise, but Lylia wouldn’t have it any other way. She loves helping and caring for others. In the little time that she has for herself, she spends it with family or she’ll be arranging her medical supplies for easy access. Every second matters for doctors, and if she doesn’t have her belongings together someone could pay dearly for it. For the most part she’s a very strict dragon, but Kezran’s messes can usually slide by.

When she truly has nothing else to do, Lylia will disappear to do other work. So much experience in medicine is enough to push even the greatest doctors to their limits. Lylia uses her knowledge and can turn the tables. An amount of any substance can be upped to toxic levels. If proportions change just slightly, a cure can be more deadly than the affliction itself. Lylia’s knowledge of poisons is kept to herself, and only used when battles come around.
