Biography

A Witch's Tale

The leader of the clan's resident coven, Silvermist is a gifted moon-witch who uses lunar rays to enhance her nature magic. The diminutive fae can speak to many species of animal, knows the name and property of almost every plant, flower and herb that grows in Sornieth, and is particularly proficient at charms and protection spells.

Silvermist's delicate wings are covered in silvery runes which glow softly when the moonlight touches them, magnifying her already formidable powers. At each full moon, the sorceress travels to a remote clifftop and draws a magic circle in the dusty ground and kneels at its centre. Worshipping the lunar goddess, Silvermist prays for the health and good fortune of her clan, and pledges only to do good with the strength and guidance she is blessed with.

Little is known about Silvermist's past before joining the clan and creating the coven, though it seems obvious to those around her that the gentle dragon has lived an interesting life. It is speculated that in a previous existence the moon-witch was a descendant of The Gladekeeper, a rumor that was compounded when Raythe, had a vision when using his runestones. The guardian saw a powerful being growing mighty trees in the blink of an eye, twisting thick vines into great and complex sculptures, before tearing them down again to crush the savage plaguelings that ventured too close to the Motherland. Overwhelmed, Raythe noted that Silvermist's aura was the same as that of the mysterious dragon in his vision.

This strange and somewhat ominous incident is just one of many reasons for the coven's great respect for their beloved leader, and they trust Silvermist's judgement and wisdom completely.

Fun fact: one of the very first dragons I bought off the AH, a couple of days after joining. She was still a hatchling when I got her. She was also the first derg I ever gave Glimmer to <3
