History/Personality Traits Brana came to be at the very beginning of dragonkind. The young maiden was weaved by the icy paws of the Icewarden himself, for the mighty god of cold wondered if he could create himself some sort of divine companionship along with the creation of all of his snowborne children. He created Brana and gifted her a bit of his power, a statement from him to claim that he saw her above others. So inside his freezing fortress with him she lived, until curiosity of the outside world got the better of her. While the Icewarden was busy managing the happenings of his new dragon followers, Brana fled from the fortress and out into the tundra of the Southern Icefields. She traveled to many clans, claiming to be a gift to them from the Icewarden, humbly serving them until she worked her way up to leadership. The skydancer liked her divine abilities, but seeked to further them, hoping that she could cure herself of loneliness and train her magic to make others alike her... "Ethereal". She was banished from her first clan when she turned the original leader into a divine and destructive beast, unable to be reversed. Frustrated, but not willing to give up, Brana traveled to many other vulnerable ice clans, practicing her elaborate magic on powerful dragons of all kinds, creating her own ethereal beasts and monsters in her path for hundreds of years. Finally, the clans affected by Brana's tyranny's prayers were heard by the Icewarden, and it wasn't long before the Icewarden finally managed to catch up to her, for even Brana was unable to outrun a true god. And so the Icewarden imprisoned her inside a massive mountain, hoping that doing so would prevent her from using her powers and causing havoc in the Icefields. But oh, was he so wrong. It worked for awhile, or it seemed to, but for a century Brana dwelled quietly inside the mountain, still practicing and enhancing her powers on her lonesome. After a century of magic-enhancing, Brana turned the mountain into a magic fueled satellite-like Ethereal temple, or something like that. |
