A mage in training, Vin’la only became attuned with her powers in her late teens and has been studying hard ever since. Though she puts on a strong front as the ‘happy twin’, Vin’la has deeply internalized her mother’s words and has huge confidence issues as a result. The accident with Lyn’ane only made her more anxious about her magic shortcomings.

The teen gave her a wary look, his mouth pulling into an unamused frown “I don't believe you.”

Vin’la put a hand to her chest, feigning distress. “You have wounded me, little Kei!” She put her hands on Kei’s shoulders and shook him half-healthy while repeating: “How could you?” in a theatrical tone.

“I’m not a kid anymore, auntie.”

Vin’la smiled and ruffled her nephew’s hair, chuckling at his indignant squawk. “I know, but you’ll always be little Kei to me.”
