The Alchemist's Apprentice
|
Amelia is a strong hearted mirror. The scarf that she wears is from her original clan, sewn by one of her friends. She used to be part of a beautiful tribe, with a mate and several children. Then, all of a sudden, she started to grow green crystals on her body. Her clan was very concerned, and did everything to find a cure. The crystals grew more and more and soon, they almost covered her whole body. Her clan lost hope and thought that maybe Gladekeeper could help her. But instead of letting herself get exalted, she set off on a journey in search of a cure. She wandered the world until she thought she would never find what she was searching for. Right before she gave up, she found herself in a little clan in the depths of a shadowy forest. There she met an alchemist, a icy pearlcatcher named Icingdeath. He told her that he had recently made a breakthrough in his studies and that he might be able to cure her. It took some time to get the cure prepared, and Amelia lived among the clan, leaning their ways and starting to find family among them. None of them judged her for her ugly crystals, and she sometimes forget they were on her. Icingdeath was eventually able to bind a magical spell to a scroll, and when read out loud, it would take away any pattern or gene on a dragons body. Amelia used the scroll, and one by one, the green gems fell off her body, revealing beautiful purple shimmery scales. Instead of returning home, Amelia realized she was home. Today, Amelia is happy and healthy and still receives letters in the mail from her father and the rest of the clan. She has also taken up alchemy, studying alongside Icingdeath as his apprentice, hoping to be able to help others like herself. Coding credit to Reliquiaen found here. Hey, there! I just wanted to thank you again for taking Amelia and trying to find her a new home. I saw that you added lore, so I thought I'd give you a message and a care package from her father, who's one of my clan's elders. Here's Davorin:
"Hello there! Thank you for taking my daughter in when she left here; it makes me feel better to know that she's somewhere safe. Aphrodisia knitted this scarf for Amelia, and she left it behind when she left here. Also, here are some odds and ends specifically for you as thanks, and a snack. Do you like sea turtle? I love sea turtle. Thank you again!"
(Dav's a big smooshy love muffin; he's a bit odd for a Mirror. The flowers are sort of traditional, even between Nature clans, and who am I to buck tradition?)
