If Herod is the brains of the clan then Temper is the brawn. She is unstable, rash, violent, and easily provoked. A sadist to the max, she will kill without thought or remorse.

Herod keeps her in check most of the time, and though their relationship is often tumultuous, Temper respects him enough to refrain from murdering everything. Their relationship is all about power, advancement, control. Temper is gleefully happy to be aligned with such a powerful warlord, though if someone stronger came along, her loyalties would shift in no time flat.

She needs only to be pointed in a direction, and she'll be off, killing and maiming and causing chaos.

Temper considers herself a dedicated mother, though she is almost devoid of any nurturing instinct. She does not coddle her children, and is often harsh, even cruel to them, starting the day they hatch.

She is motivated by creating fierce, strong offspring that will represent her well as they leave the clan. She considers weakness in her children as a failing on her part and a massive, unforgivable disappointment on theirs. When her firstborn turned on her, Temper almost killed him before banishing him from the clan. If it had been any other dragon, she would've taken the final strike.

Perhaps she does have some measure of maternal instinct.

The wartoad's name is Beast and Temper personally captured him in the Mire.
