As the elderly imperial left his workshop for the first time since the machine had been completed, it appeared that reality had began to fall apart at the seams. As the sky crumbled to the ground and tears in the 3rd dimension began to form, Coldin's first impulse was to rush to his mate and the rest of his clan members. However, the old dragon knew better. He knew that the masters of time and space were displeased with what he had created, and would make the rest of this timeline suffer for his actions. So, the imperial stepped inside his time machine and went back to his better years.

And so was the thing that caused the young version of Coldin to disappear--for the older version of him would now take his place in this timeline. Returning to the clan as an older version of himself was hard to explain--many thought he had simply ran off and went crazy, though some do believe his tale of causing the world to end in an alternate timeline. Now, the imperial is very distant to everyone, including his lover, Essie. In the present, Coldin is working on a new project. He wishes to conduct research on the "Masters" of time and space, and he has been building something quite interesting in an abandoned building close to the clan's lair. After studying the work of the unconscious mind's connection to all that exists, his new machine is almost complete. Now, if only he could find an appropriate test subject...
