Biography

Sadira came from a shadow clan. Sure shadow folk were a lot of fun, and sure the caravan had been great. Going places, seeing things. But Sadira was born in shadow and was just never sure she fit in, she was too worried that if she told them her secret she wouldn't have a home. Probably a silly worry, but when the chance came to move to a wind clan, she took it. Wind dragons were supposed to be the friendliest, surely they wouldn't judge her. When she told them she hated magic and didn't want to be like the other tundras, they didn't send her back to shadow. In fact, they seemed confused that she thought they might care. They seemed to chalk it up to being a shadow thing and went back to their business. Which seemed to be visiting people ALONE and playing with things they found even if they didn't know WHERE that thing had been.

Her new clan made Sadira come to another realization. Spirals weren't called noodles because they looked like a noodle. No, they were all silly noodles. They called her Snowball with great affection and ignored her advice on safe travel. She'd been born in a caravan, she knew all about safe travel! They were such sweet silly noodles, and obviously needed someone to take care of them.

The other wind dragons weren't much better, why even the guardian who began the clan guarded... the sky. And the other one was madly in love with her and guarded only her. Not terribly useful. Sadira had thought she'd be happy with becoming a mother and taking care of her clutch, but her nearly helpless clan gave her a new ambition. Sadira would be a warrior, and SHE would defend the clan.

When she brought up the idea, she found out that Nimbus, who she hadn't talked to a lot before, was also training to defend the clan. Worse than being just a tundra and not liking magic, Nimbus had been born in an arcane clan and didn't even have the slightest skill with magic! Still, to be in arcane, one had to be able to focus. Sadira thought he was definitely a dragon to admire and began to train with him when she could. He and his partner Peridot were far ahead of her in their advancement and she could learn so much.

To the amazement of those in the clan that pair attention, Nimbus and Peridot who sometimes seemed like one dragon rather than two, let a third join them. It wasn't long before they were more than an effective fighting team. Nimbus moved into Sadira's lair, bringing with him frequent visit and nearly third occupant the insane spiral warrior Peridot. Like the others, Peridot always called her Snowball, but he also had a needle-toothed smile for her and never seemed to have a problem having her join them in battle though he and Nimbus had been a team for ages. It still felt impossible to protect the ever growing clan, but then the Peacekeepers moved in and life settled into... perfection.
