Nimbus

Nimbus joined a silly wind clan when it was newly formed with great relief. Being in an arcane clan had brought him nothing but mockery for his total lack of skills. Once in the wind clan he declared he was never doing (or attempting to do) magic again. Then he set about making himself useful. All he could think was that the warrior profession was one where no one would dare tease him, and the growing clan could use protectors. He would be useful. Honoured. Well, as much honour as distracted wind dragons ever bestowed on anyone. He would be useful. That was good.

He began on the warrior path with a crazy nature spiral named Peri. In days it felt like he'd known Peri all his life. He supposed he was used to a certain level of flair and madness from his birth clan. He found inside him a fierce nature, became bolder than he ever thought he could be. In no time he couldn't imagine life without Peri with him.

They met Sadira when she began to train to help them protect the clan. Well help Nimbus protect the clan. Peri trained because Peri loved to battle. He was poison and claws and fury, even before he was infected with a plague contagion that made him glow like a firefly. Nimbus couldn't say he didn't love battle either. There was a reason he felt one with Peri after all. Still Sadira fit in with them. Where Peri turned his nose up at many of the other dragons, he teased and encouraged Sadira. Shy and timid when she'd joined the clan, she grew fierce and brave. Unlike Peri, she did notice what a fine (if magically incapable) tundra he was, and he eventually moved into her lair.
