More than a few members of Thylabis are wary of their resident biovizier. While never outright malicious, Celaeno struggles with the moral frameworks other dragons habitually obey. Simplistic workarounds such as 'Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You' have displayed glitches; she'd be quite happy for someone to give her beneficial fleshcrafted enhancements without wasting her time checking first, as long as it did not interrupt her work.

The current solution is to have her present written consent forms to Penrith beforehand, and periodically check with her workmates if something is morally acceptable. Celaeno finds the process frustrating and inefficient. She'd much rather everyone go away, leave her alone, and let her do Science in peace.

Celaeno's current research project is investigating the regenerative capacities of protobeasts in the hopes of unlocking similar abilities in dragonkind. So far all she has managed is accidentally giving a Spiral tailfins (interesting and acceptable, if unplanned) and ruining his sense of balance (an unacceptable disaster, as a manic spiral who is unable to fly is even more frantic and annoying). She's not sure why the Twins Azizos and Arsu have been riveting jewelry to one of her protobeast research subjects. She assumes they're working on something for the Poliwag and need to test its slime resistance. Since it does not seem to be interfering with her own studies she does not mind, but it would be nice if they'd asked first.
