Grimalkin (Grim)

Personality

Grimalkin is a spontaneous adventurer. She never plans her travels, she just goes to her next destination on a whim. Her poor mate Cypress is pretty much left to take care of their children while she wanders off. Never let her lead she will just walk and walk and walk until you figure out she has no idea where she’s going. Her more favored places to travel are the more fragrant areas, particularly floral/naturey scents. She has a natural affinity for nature, she can magically poof of nature anywhere she wants. She desires to collect and grow plants going extinct. The Chasm suits her desire because it has many hiding areas for her to grow plants without dragons trampling on them. She cares deeply for her beloved mate, but if she had to choose between him and her travels traveling would win. But Cypress is cool with that, he doesn’t mind the distance, she just has to promise to write to him occasionally so he knows she’s safe. He travels with her too, but with children to watch it’s difficult so he mostly stays put.

Finding the Chasm

On the hunt for his specific Floracat group he had been tracking for quite some time, he pinpointed their course of direction in a mountainous region in between Earth, Nature, Plague, and Shadow flight borders. Unfamiliar with the territory, O’malley hired Grimalkin, a knowledgeable guide to accompany him, and help him navigate the region. These two dragons upon their search not only discovered a new species of Floracat, but also a new thriving territory. This region was incredibly safe and secluded from the warring flights that bordered next to each other. These two tundra decided to establish a safe haven for both dragons and the Floracats.

Recollections from the past
Grimalkin
"Tundras have difficulty remembering names, faces, and specific details about dragons that they have not seen in over a season. Despite this, their olfactory memory is excellent. "You smell like a friendship." is a common greeting between tundra dragons who have not seen one another in years, the names and details of their association forgotten."

Grimalkin unique to her species, can recall a handful of memories years later, especially the ones she would like to forget. The most dreadful memory she remembers from her childhood is her birth name. Grimalkin's mother named all her 15 children after smells of flowers that could be easily identified, that way she would never forget them. Grimalkin had the misfortune of being bestowed an unattractive grandma name, Daisy. The name did not feel like it represented her, it always felt sour to the ears, hearing that terrible name rolling off clan mates tongues. As Grimalkin grew older, she became aware of her species forgetfulness, and used it to her advantage. Whenever she was united with an old friend or a neighbor returning from a trip she would re-introduce herself with a new name. It took a couple years to convince everyone, but she managed to vanquish her old name Daisy, and be reborn as Grimalkin. Though her mom still refers to her by the dreaded name.

One of her favorite stories she read as a child was called Grimalkin The tale is about an old spiteful faery cat by the name of Grimalkin. the faery discovers a lost hatchling and escorts them out fo the jungle back home. The story is a bt confusing as it is spoken in thrid person from an outsiders point of view. the faery tells the hatchling a stoy of her past and the tragedies of her species downfall caused by the ragons, and the wonders of the wilds, the joy of life. It is revealed the Grimalkin is dying and wants her and her species story to live on.
