Personality

O'malley is a laid back zoologist that goes with the flow. because of his carefree and happy attitude. He can be reclusive when it comes to his profession, often traveling far away from the chasm so he can study and record data on various animals, specifically Floracats. Despite his absence, O'malley does play a role in making important decisions regarding issues between the wildlife and the dragon residence in the Chasm. He sees it as his duty to protect the rare floracat and dragons that reside there to peacefully co-habit with each other. But, if the complaints are other than that, O’malley tells everyone to seek out Grim, much to her annoyance.

Appearance

O'malley has poofy autumn colored fur, he usually has a couple of fur strands braided in his mane or tail, if he remembers. His underbelly is a glimmering red, it accents his burgundy markings. Hi eyes are twinkling deep green, bordered by a set of markings on his face. Instead of typical Tundra horns he sports two tawny antlers, and on top of his head are a crown of red roses. The live sapling that neatly attaches to his back, was a gift from Grimalkin. The tree helps disguise and attract his research subjects. His pet cats, Thomas, scat, and Khan typically stay with O'malley, and often hide in the leaves of his tree.

Profession

This passion for studying animal life and behaviors originated from his childhood. O'malley would often venture into the ravine near his home and play with the floracats that lived there. As winter approached, his floracat friends would mysteriously vanish and return next autumn, much to his dismay. This stirred a curiosity in him, and he wanted answers. Too young to leave his clan, he filled his thirst for knowledge with books about animals. When he finally matured, and was ready to leave his old clan, he started his journey by leaving with his floracat pack. Till this day he still keeps track of this pack and observes and records data on them. This specific Floracat pack led him to the chasm and to the discovery of a new subspecies of Floracat.

Finding the Chasm

On the hunt for his specific Floracat group he had been tracking for quite some time, he pinpointed their course of direction in a mountainous region in between Earth, Nature, Plague, and Shadow flight borders. Unfamiliar with the territory, O’malley hired Grimalkin, a knowledgeable guide to accompany him, and help him navigate the region. These two dragons upon their search not only discovered a new species of Floracat, but also a new thriving territory. This region was incredibly safe and secluded from the warring flights that bordered next to each other. These two tundra decided to establish a safe haven for both dragons and the Floracats.
