Quote:
"Losing? Ah, c'mon, that word isn't even in my vocabulary!"
'Prideful' isn't the word to describe him. 'Overconfident', on the other hand, is. Granted, he is swift and strong, but losing is never an impossibility, even for the strongest and the swiftest of dragons. He just refuses to see the truth: there will come a time where losing is inevitable, and no one is invincible. (He's lost before, of course, but he's never acknowledged it since) So for now, he will keep winning his battles with his confidence and prowess, unknowingly waiting for the day when he has to finally recognise the truth. |

Dragonhearted is strong, brave and often rash and reckless. He is strong, however, this means that he more often than not gets himself into deep trouble. Dragonhearted is extremely boastful about winning battles and fights, but when he is beat he is extremely reserved about it- almost to the point of embarrassment. The one time he was beaten in battle, by the clan’s warrior, Undyne, he refused to go anywhere near her for weeks. Since then, he refuses to talk about it at all and will more than likely walk away from whomever mentioned it.
Dragonhearted does care a lot about the welfare of his clan, but he does little to show it. He would much rather be seen as a reckless brute than a soft hearted member of the clan. He will not acknowledge the fact that it is possible he can lose a battle, for him it is impossible to imagine. Therefore, he picks fights with anyone he likes, which is how he was led to losing a battle with Undyne. If a dragon refuses to fight him, he counts it as a victory and flaunts that power around. Surely, if they will not fight him, it means that they will surely lose, does it not? Dragonhearted earned his name when he just entered young adulthood, only a few days afterwards in fact. He challenged a large Imperial dragon to battle, one that is more than twice his size. The Imperial laughed at him and accepted the challenge, figuring to make a big joke out of it all. However, Dragonhearted ended it almost as swiftly as it had started, using his relative small size to weave in between the large dragon. Essentially, he made the much larger, much older dragon fold in on itself and all it took was a swift motion from the young Nocturne to knock his opponent off balance; resulting in the young dragon’s first win and his name. Dragonhearted, for having a brave and powerful heart of a strong beast. |
