Biography

Fire Subspecies: Flambebe
The Tundra family of Rocky Top are fiercely proud of their rather, ah, narrow family tree, and are known for producing two things in great amounts and of high quality: babies and strong corn liquor. It is for this reason that they are always welcomed warmly into the main lairs of the clans - if there's a party going on, you want to invite BirdsEye and Mountie.

Many of their children find homes with other clans in the Ashfall Wastes, or travel on to serve the Flamecaller directly. And every one of them goes with their father's secret family recipes and the knowledge of how to work with copper.

Flambebe is... well, a Flambebe of many. However, instead of being sent to serve Mather once he hit his growth spurt, he however had decided to stay in the Clan. Occasionally, he can be seen helping with the laundry or piling firewood. But more often, he can be usually seen dancing around the campfire, and goes absolutely hyper whenever he is assigned the duty of fire ignition. It is true that he dons a rather... well, uncanny attire, which would often be the highlight of speculation whenever the Clan sees him staring intently at the Ignited Imps, but that could be easily forgotten once he is seen squealing at them.

In the aspect of looks, he is usually said as a mix between Mountie and BirdsEye; if you were to smash a palette with both Mountie and BirdsEye's colors together, respectively, then the outcome would be Flambebe. He is often described as such, but he himself has no singular idea as to why. Some say that his colors favor his father's side more, but most do agree that his personality leans towards his mother's side: hyperactive and eager to explore every nook and cranny, excited to learn, as opposed to BirdsEye's more grumpier personality.

His Clanmates do get along with him well, usually tolerating his presence and some finding it enjoyable, even. Flambebe pays no regard to this; he is happy when the others are. Flambebe enjoys observing the smaller lives of the Ashwall Waste; a notable one is the Ignited Imps, and another is the Thunder Scarabs. He tremendously enjoys poking them, but is always careful as to not do harm towards the environment.

Whilst he does not necessarily agree with fattening the Imps up for slaughter, his complete devotion to Mather is admirable. He has a tendency to repeatedly murmur ''Mather'' under his breath whenever he is nervous; some Clanmates find it amusing (namely Magnus and Sans), some others find it annoying (namely everyone), and some endearing (namely Cass). Mountie and BirdsEye are tremendously proud of their son's complete and utter pride in their Flame Mother.

Most of Flambebe's brothers and sisters were exalted to serve the almighty Mather, and aside from his mother and father, there were no other Flambebes in his Clan; however, he is not alone as there are hundreds, if not thousands of colonies of Flambebes that are scattered throughout the Ashfall Waste. Flambebe cannot walk a bare centimeter before bumping into one of his kind. Thus, he is never lonely.

Flambebe usually gets along quite decent with his Clanmates. He is sometimes seen in the Coliseum with the older members; Runestone and Scimitar as he chatted along whilst fighting off a Molten Wartoad, sometimes cheerily talking with Sara (Nyssa couldn't really tolerate his presence) and sometimes maybe even entering the Coliseum quietly and most times, solemnly with Cass, although technically it would've been only an onesided conversation.

Although his Clan is made up of those whom wandered and sought sanctuary here, where all are welcome, Flambebe sometimes feel a tad... out of place. It wasn't because of some depressing tear-jerking backstory of his, however.

It's because everyone had sad, tear-jerking sob stories that made him feel so damn out of place because he didn't have one.... This Clan was literally an entire club of them, he'd swear. Honestly, even his father and mother had a sadder backstory than him, and theirs was so hellishly sappy that he had to stop his tears from flowing. He couldn't even bump into someone before he's sitting in the warmth Hearth about two hours later, borrowing the stiff dragon's shoulder to sob on as the stiff dragon passed him tissues. It was jarring.

He knows Cass's story, even if she didn't — couldn't — speak, at least not in a language of words, and Scimitar's too, and he's surprised that he actually remembered Nyssa's story spoken to him by a wistful Sara (that lasted two hours long, and although Flambebe was an attentive listener, he couldn't really when he spent those two entire hours bawling), and... virtually everyone's, really, by his heart.

That was, uh, jarring too, to say at the very least. It was mind-blowing as to how practically everyone in his Clan had some sort of sob-story. He had journeyed to other Clans (not for long, though, since he couldn't've had as well left his father and mother completely alone) to seek of this phenomenon, and it turns out that they had even more sob-stories than his Clan did. Cue the buckets of tears and awkward pats on his back.

It was jarring.

In conclusion, Flambebe was just one of the many Flambebes in his family of many. Just ignore his occasional squeaks of: ''Mather!'' and you'll get along perfectly swell.
