majora owns and runs the carillon clan curiosity shop, a growing and dimly lit building nestled amid the thorny brambles inside the great semi-circle of establishments. the shop is lined with fine carpets and drapes and dimly lit with candles and glowing fungi. most of the light is directed towards the glass display cases that host the shop's most valuable products; what these might be are viable to change daily as items are newly acquired and sold. several other tables are laden with strange assortments of this or that; stands of armor share space next to enchanted petals and cloaks; spells and potions; barrels of horns and pelts; even a pen where tamed creatures await a new home. perhaps it is part of his ridgeback instincts, but he thrives on the constant game of dicey bartering, borrowing, buying and selling. the majority of his stock is dubiously acquired, although he keeps his own hands clean. he is dangerously cunning and persuasive, keeping a tight lid on his sources and an openly flattering persona with his clients. it's well known that underneath his storefront lie vast unknown tunnels. many of these are guessed to be storerooms, but his personal life is burrowed just as deeply. given his reputation, many seedy rumors have circulated about what lies beneath. several of these tunnels have hidden exits which he uses to meet his sources. although he always displays a kindly face, his smile seems insincere and off-putting, and a little... hungry. little is known about him, but many are aware that he is overly fond of khoshekh and envies veil as her mate and unused to getting what he wants. since sadie of the notorious vaccaro family joined the clan, however, the two found their interests in line and became partners in both business and pleasure. many would hesitate to call it a romance, but whatever it is, the two seem to enjoy it. sadie has full access to the tunnels underneath the shop and brings in as much merchandise as she does plots for acquiring more wealth. |
