timid and unassuming, Felly isn't the typical mate to a former clan leader one might expect. then again, Eclypse isn't quite the former clan leader one might expect.

Felly hatched into a failing Nature clan on the brink of collapse. as such, the clan had adopted a strict policy of "survival of the fittest" and scorned or outright banished those too weak to support the clan. Felly had drawn the short end of the stick, born in a frail body with equally weak and unreliable lungs. for most of his younger years, he was bullied relentlessly by fellow hatchlings, and simply ignored by adults. by the time he came of age and still hadn't proven to be at all useful, the clan banished him, chasing him out to the edge of their territory to die.

after much wandering in unfamiliar land and several run-ins with less-than-friendly dragons, Felly found Eclypse and the Roaan. or Eclypse found him, depending on who tells the story-- to be fair, it's hard to nail down who found who when a certain pale-pelted Fae just about fell into the lap of the other. Felly literally crash-landed onto Eclypse after losing his footing in the tree branches above the group of Centaurs Eclypse was traveling with. the Centaurs immediately captured Felly and began interrogating him, certain he was sent as an informant from a nearby dragon clan. Felly had an incredibly difficult time explaining his presence, stuttering and wheezing horribly, to the point that even Eclypse had trouble understanding him. Eclypse then grabbed the trembling Fae's head and pulled it to hers, gently touching their foreheads together. in this position, Felly's eyes were immediately drawn to Eclypse's, and a second later, a tidalwave of calm and security flooded Felly's mind. Felly fell limp in the face of such soothing emotions, and after taking a few moments to regain himself, Felly explained to Eclypse his situation. somehow, in her silent state, she managed to make a case for Felly to remain among the Roaan clan, and they begrudgingly took him in.

though she never spoke a word, Eclypse's frills were as expressive as any Fae Felly had ever met, making her easy to understand. plus, whatever power she held over emotions worked wonders for his anxiety. for these reasons, and the fact that she apparently posed no threat to Felly's safety (she hadn't threatened him a single time-- that was a first for him!), Felly grew incredibly close to Eclypse, if not a bit clingy. Eclypse didn't mind at all, happy to have finally found a dragon companion. Eclypse's inherent silence and calm demeanor meshed all too well with Felly's lack of verbal skill and high stress levels, providing them both the easy companionship they desired. not to mention, it takes anxiety to know anxiety, so they were always on the same page when it came to their shared fears. eventually, the two grew romantically involved, just as slow and awkward as one might expect of these misfit Fae, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

the third to their relationship would come several years later, hissing and snarling all the while. neither Fae had expected the fiery Pearlcatcher to capture their romantic attention, but once Lilith settled into the clan, and her demeanor ever so slowly mellowed to the patient soul she is today, the two Fae found themselves taken with her. for Felly's part, he found her protective nature appealing. different from Eclypse's familiarity and gentle comfort, Lilith was strong in both body and spirit, and made Felly feel all the more protected himself. he'd often find himself snuggled up in her mane, or curled up across her back for a nap, Eclypse joining him as well. Lilith didn't seem to mind the physically-affectionate company, so never made a move to stop them. open as they were with each other, Felly and Eclypse both discussed their feelings for the Pearlcatcher (well, Eclypse projected her feelings, and Felly did the talking), and were relieved to find that they both felt the same towards Lilith. they weren't prepared to make a move, or even all that certain HOW to make a move, so had no plans to confront the Pearlcatcher about this development. life had other plans, however, and a slip-up in Eclypse's projection let their little crush out of the bag. Lilith, to both Faes' delight, readily accepted their feelings. thus, the Fae pair found their third.

while never one to purposefully act aloof, Felly naturally shies away from interaction of any sort, which gives many of his clanmates the impression that he is indeed cold. this social anxiety is the main reason Felly's wrapped in so many garments-- the weight of the materials make him feel more secure, and less vulnerable to prying eyes (imagined or not). only those closest to him-- the ones to have broken through his shy shell-- know of his affectionate attitude. he's a true companion and "worrywort", as friends describe him, constantly fretting over the problems of both others and himself.

despite his shy demeanor, Felly greatly enjoys the company of those closest to him, and whether he is tagging along behind Eclypse in one of her territory runs, or quietly observing Lilith at work, he is never alone. most guess that he has abandonment issues, but since those closest to him never mind his company, they've never felt the need to bring it up. Eclypse is the only one that knows the specific circumstances of Felly's past, so clearly understands his tendencies.

Felly works as a "ghost" or "shadow" to the clan-- he has no specific job besides being a helping paw to whomever he's with at the time. thus, he's gathered a sort of "jack-of-all-trades" knowledge of goings-on in the clan (IE- he's not particularly awesome at any one thing, but he's satisfactory in a lot of things).

during his time in the Centaur clan, Felly avidly studied Centaur language, and now knows Centaur fluently. however, he could never grasp speaking it himself, so his responses are amateur, at best.

Felly has frequent aromatherapy sessions with Rosales in order to clear his airways.
