 		take two nocturnes born on the same day and of almost identical colors and put them in one lair to grow up together, and what do you get? trouble, that's what! midnight and mischief are masters of mimicry, constantly playing the ultimate game of copycat with one another. having a near perfect reflection of themselves has driven their nocturne instincts into overdrive. they mirror each other's poses and talk and act in unison without any forethought. this has earned them the nickname the charlatan twins, or "charlatwins" for short, as they act and look like twins but are not actually related at all.

the two use their prime mimic skills and unity purely for mischief, much to the annoyance of the rest of the clan. besides one another, they seem to have absorbed the prankstery and dark nature of the shadow land the clan lives in as a whole. they sometimes tail unfortunate dragons to repeat their every action and word in double. when exposed to glow's trio, they are more prone to setting up their own pranks and tricks just as she would. sometimes they even put on shows impersonating members of the clan or well known dragons for humor. their favorite victims in this regard are the royal twins themselves, giving a whole new meaning to their name as the charlatwins.

their actions, however annoying, are all meant in good fun, however. rarely does anyone get hurt, although they will likely be heavily inconvenienced. nor are their impersonations meant to be demeaning. still, newcomers and veterans alike are often warned to be wary of the darkest corners of the lair or the sound of the same laugh twofold, lest the charlatwins get the best of you.
