Quinta

Quinta's mother is Quarta and her father is Sandwich Music. Both of those Tundras have exactly eight first-gen great-grandparents; accordingly, Quinta herself, like her two clutchmates Vyfde and Cincea, has exactly sixteen first-gen great-great-grandparents, making her a perfectly-balanced fifth-gen dragon.

(The sixteen dragons in question: Katyushka and Ojnk, the Founders of the Solar Solar; Cleo and Ambros, the parents of Luxon; Feign and Beast, the parents of Dmitriy; Puffy and Jojo, the parents of Cherenkov; Moss and Mynnthyr, the parents of Radiation; Kwen and Locke; Hergar and Erberry; and Ispanak and Mercan.)

Vyfde and Cincea went to serve the Lightweaver shortly after becoming adults; Quarta and Sandwich Music had a second nest together before Sandwich Music also departed for the Lightweaver's direct service, which contained only one egg, a female Tundra named Pentad; she followed her father as soon as she was an adult, leaving Quarta and Quinta behind.

Quinta was hatched with no particular pattern to her fur, aside from a different-colored underbelly, and an eyespot pattern like her mother's (and her father's and his father's) on her wings; when she was nearly a year old she obtained a piebald scroll to alter her appearance. She was so proud of her new look that she commissioned art of herself, but she made the mistake of rushing the artist...


This experience taught her humility, or at least a little, which was good because that kept her from driving Canthuion away when she met him. It was obvious from the clan gestalt that the two of them were intended as mates, but fortunately they actually get along quite well. Canthuion's not a warrior (he jokes that he doesn't have a single combative tooth in his maw) but he's a quite-capable mage much like his mother and Quinta's mother, and he is fond of casting strengthening cantrips on Quinta's armor before she marches off to sentry duty.
