Scratching Post was founded by Cat, a fae hailing from an isolated, old, and extensive family of hunters within a particularly dangerous, but productive region of the Labyrinth, and Chantilly, a traveler and a cook.

Nobody knows this area better than Cat’s family, so when Chantilly was visiting the area on a gathering trip, Cat was chosen to guide him. Chantilly soon found that his knowledge of Sorneith, though broad, was dwarfed by the rich and diverse world of even this tiny patch of the Labyrinth. Cat, on the other hand, realized through Chantilly that if her family were to continue to protect and nurture this land, she needed to understand the broader ecosystem of the ever-changing Sornieth. Together, the two and their clan explore the world, their place in it, and exchange their accumulated knowledge with others.
